JOE ANGELITIS
Joe Angelitis is a "Project Coordinator" for the FREEdLANCE Group, and serves as writer, researcher, community collaborator, program auditor, and multimedia producer. Joe is excited about creative use of proven digital technologies for improving the transfer of critical information for business, industry, and social programs.
As Project Manager and Workforce Projects Coordinator at Lehigh University's Enterprise Systems Center, 1997-2002, Joe led the creation of over thirty-five custom multimedia products including process improvement multimedia tools for private-sector companies such as the Energizer Battery Company and Binney & Smith (Crayola), strategy communication tools for organizations such as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and multimedia case studies chronicling student internships as a way to "bring the real world into the classroom" within Lehigh University's College of Engineering.
Joe began his career as an Editorial Assistant at TV Guide Magazine's national headquarters in Radnor PA in the early 1980s, but switched to the residential construction industry to "make more money and work outside." In 1992 Joe became a "frontline workforce developer" as Building Trades and "Life Skills" Instructor for disadvantaged youth and Title 2A adults at the Private Industry Council (PIC) of the Lehigh Valley. This frontline work included an eye-opening trip to the ravaged Homestead, Florida area to assist in re-construction efforts after Hurricane Andrew.
Joe became PIC's Quality Improvement Auditor in 1996 under the direction of then Planning Manager, Bill Freed, and has become another champion of "Know Yourself, Know the Market, Make the Match" ever since.
